Lucia Solorzano Sacasa

Founder and former President of the Chamber of Realtors in Nicaragua and President and owner of Portonica Real Estate in Nicaragua. She graduated in Business Administration and commenced her professional career in banking working for several U.S. Banks, including Citibank, First National Bank of Boston and Texas Bank & Trust. Mrs. Sacasa then moved into the Hotel Industry and pursued a Real Estate career as broker in Puerto Rico and Florida, where she owned a Century 21 Franchise in Key Biscayne, Florida. She has been in the Real Estate Industry for over 20 years specializing in International Sales and Marketing. As the President of the Chamber of Realtors in Nicaragua, together with other Nicaraguan members of the Chamber, as well as local attorneys, she drafted and proposed a regulatory law for Realtors which was approved by the National Assembly. She is the Founder and former President of the U.S. Confiscated Citizens during President Chamorro’s government and lobbied for hundreds of claimants with U.S. and Nicaraguan Congress. Additionally, she is the Founder and former President of the Federation of Confiscated Citizens in Nicaragua (representing citizens of U.S., Nicaragua, Mexico & Spain) and represented the Federation at the Nicaraguan National Dialogue in 1996. Mrs. Sacasa signed the bilateral agreement between the National Association of Realtors and Nicaragua; as well the bilateral agreement between FECEPAC (Federation of Realtors of Central America), Panama and the Caribbean and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). She has been serving as the National Association of Realtor’s President Liaison to the Nicaraguan Chamber of Realtors since 2006 and is currently serving as CRS Global International Committee Member, FECEPAC’s liaison to the National Association of Realtors, Director of IWIN.
